Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Schneider Electric is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join the team in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. This role is designed for a professional with experience in manufacturing quality who can drive problem-solving, enhance process performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The position focuses on improving product quality, reducing variation, and contributing to operational excellence through data-driven decision-making. Travel is expected between 10%-20%.

Key responsibilities include applying structured root cause analysis methodologies, implementing continuous improvement practices, developing and maintaining process documentation, monitoring key performance indicators, leading continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting the implementation of digital quality tools, and preparing quality reports. This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is required. Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing quality engineering. Strong expertise in structured problem-solving and root cause analysis methodologies, including 8D, A3, and Define Measure Analyze Improve Control. Proficiency in Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Experience with quality tools such as Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Control Plans, process capability analysis, and continuous improvement practices.

Ability to collaborate effectively and influence cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on quality improvement and defect reduction. Familiarity with International Organization for Standardization standards, process auditing, and statistical analysis tools is considered an advantage.
