PRINCIPAL JOB

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops new product designs, controls overall scope of documentation necessary to take product to manufacturing phase.
Develops suitable techniques for developing custom design solutions for enhancing functionality of existing products.
Produces cost effective solutions to design problems within acceptable time frames.
Selects material to ensure designs are able to withstand appropriate loading conditions.
Considers, analyzes, and recommends concepts for product and process improvements.
Documents options to show in catalog and on website.
Initiate and update database, configurator and order forms.

Qualifications REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND

EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical or Industrial Technology and 3 years’ experience in engineering design.
Ability to solve design issues; knowledge of standards applicable in the industry.
Excellent skills in operating design software:
Solid Works, CAD, etc.
Effective verbal and written communications skills; able to read, write, and comprehend simple and complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Thorough knowledge of FDA and ISO Standards.
Ability to work independently and with other functional groups, such as R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service.
