Medical Scribe

The Medical Scribe plays a vital role in supporting providers by accurately documenting patient encounters within the EMR system. This position enhances provider efficiency, improves the overall patient experience, and ensures accurate, compliant medical documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Accurately document patient-provider encounters in the EMR system in real time
• Maintain medical record compliance and prepare documentation for provider review
• Provide advanced support to providers to enhance workflow efficiency
• Manage and support patient care experience and health informatics
• Ensure timely attachment of documents to patient records
• Address patient portal tasks in accordance with established protocols
• Organize and prioritize daily tasks efficiently
• Maintain high standards of customer service and confidentiality
• Adhere to all facility policies, including HIPAA
• Assist with clerical duties to support clinic workflow

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to operate EMR software systems, hardware, and word processing programs
• Professionalism and confidentiality

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience with Athena EMR highly desirable
• Prior healthcare or medical documentation experience preferred
