SummaryDirects the day‑to‑day functions of Powerex Manufacturing Operations by supervising, directing, and motivating staff. Organizes and monitors workflow to ensure all efficiency and quality goals have been met.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise, motivate, and develop production employees to meet operational and quality objectives.
- Plan, schedule, and assign work to meet production goals and delivery commitments.
- Monitor production performance, analyze data, and report operational results.
- Enforce quality standards and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate employees, including performance management and corrective action when necessary.
- Identify and resolve production issues, personnel concerns, and process inefficiencies.
- Review and correct manufacturing routers, bills of material, and assembly drawings as needed.
- Drive cost improvement initiatives and continuous process improvements.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, supply chain, and other departments to support company objectives.
- Other duties can be assigned as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Management, or a related field.
- Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams of up to 30 employees.
- Knowledge of manufacturing concepts and production workflows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
- Willingness to work additional hours, including Saturdays.
Work Environment Requirements
- Split time between manufacturing floor and office environment.
- Regular use of hands, tools, and equipment; occasional standing, walking, stooping, crouching, or kneeling.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Occasional travel, including international travel (approximately 1 trip per year).
