Material Processor Lead

Job Overview

This position is responsible for working with Supervisors to train and develop the team, monitor production performance, and ensure production and quality controls are met while adhering to the work instructions for the area of responsibility. The role is onsite at the Mt. Juliet, TN facility with a schedule of Monday - Thursday, 5:00AM – 3:30PM.

• Working knowledge of shop floor systems (CVision, Oracle, Unit Tracker, Great Plains, Ghost)
• Participate in daily stand‑up meetings with Supervisor
• Participate in internal and external customer or vendor meetings
• Work with Supervisor to reallocate resources (people/supplies/products) as needed to meet customer goals
• Work with other departments as needed to ensure proper workflow is achieved
• Serve as point of contact for employees for handling escalation issues
• Work with Engineering to identify and resolve process issues
• Collaborate with other departments with their area of responsibility
• Track and maintain daily attendance roster for emergency evacuation purposes
• Participate with the 6S Audit team on monthly 6S audits
• Work with Supervisor to implement any changes or adjustments on the production floor as a result from audits
• Forklift certified if needed for area of responsibility
• Perform on‑the‑job refresher training and workstation assessment
• Monitor inventory levels (WIP aging) for specific area of responsibility
• Monitor KPI and SLA performance levels and escalations to Supervisor as needed
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees
• Compile and analyze data
• Complete daily reports
• Train and coach associates as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of previous light manufacturing experience or 1 year of previous inspector experience
• Proficient in manual processing and receiving, consistently meeting UPH expectations
• Strong team player who thrives in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Must be proficient and certified in the area they are responsible for leading

• Prior leadership experience in manufacturing, logistics, operations, or another applicable environment
• Database software / data entry experience in existing programs
• Spreadsheet software:
  Microsoft Excel basic understanding and data entry into a pre‑formed spreadsheet
• Word processing:
  Microsoft Word basic documents and reports
