Machinist
The Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting various types of conventional or automatic machines, including CNC machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other precision equipment. You will also assist Manufacturing Team Members in the setup of machines.
Responsibilities- Perform a wide variety of setups and operations on CNC machines.
- Write and edit programs as needed to meet overall requirements.
- Work with 2-5 axis machines, including Horizontals, Verticals, lathes, and Integrex (5 axis).
- Read and interpret drawings/prints to create parts.
- Manage custom machining tasks with multiple machine changes per shift.
- Use micrometers and calipers to check the quality of parts.
- Handle changeovers independently and understand CNC machine logic.
- Write basic programs and post-edit CNC programs to optimize performance.
- Set up jobs, run jobs, and inspect parts for quality.
- Detect worn tools and replace tooling as necessary.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and setups.
- Experience with G-Codes and G&M Codes.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools like micrometers and calipers.
- Familiarity with machines such as HAAS, MORI SEIKI, MAZAK, BROTHERS, MITSUBISHI, and BRIDGEPORTS.
Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of CNC machining experience or a CNC technical degree.
- High School Diploma or Trade School certification for CNC is preferred.

Work EnvironmentEnjoy working in a controlled and clean environment on the 3rd shift, from Sunday to Wednesday, 7pm to 5:30am, with overtime opportunities on Thursday night. Be part of a team of 125 total employees, focusing on producing power and manual clamps.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Juliet, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
