Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspects finished product for quality and compliance to work order. Assists in resolving quality issues
- Responsible for following all procedures and work instructions pertaining to inspection of finished product.
- Responsible for reporting on a variety of matters such as scrap, safety and training.
- Participates in a self‑managed team. Assumes specific responsibilities on a rotating basis for activities/items such as team representative, team indicators, team meeting minutes, quality performance reporting, etc.
- Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines. Performs necessary preventative maintenance.
- May work on special projects/assignments upon request.
- High School Diploma or GED is required. AS/AA degree preferred. Industry experience in quality, inspection, or manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend (in English) simple or complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Documents may include:
Material Safety Data Sheets, work orders, work instructions, manuals, policies and procedures, etc. - Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Must be able to interpret prints and use appropriate measuring devices.
- Must have basic computer knowledge. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) preferred.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
