Job Summary
Support the Asset Protection Supervisor to maintain workflow and count processes. Operate a forklift and collaborate with the Inventory Control team to conduct, organize, and validate inventory counts, sort damaged and RTV, reduce salvage, obtain return authorizations from vendors, and re-wrap sellable merchandise.
Work cross‑functionally within departments to complete related merchandise counts and inventory control responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Provide prompt and courteous service and assistance to members.
- Maintain high standards of safety, service, and sanitation.
- Operate at speed and accuracy to facilitate organized processes.
- Process damaged or defective merchandise following appropriate salvage, donation, vendor return, reverse logistics, hazardous waste, and destroy procedures.
- Obtain return authorizations from vendors, process vendor chargebacks, and package and ship merchandise returns according to vendor policies.
- Track, plan, coordinate, and execute department inventory counts within prescribed deadlines.
- Follow count processes and procedures and maintain correct stock/inventory status of damaged, defective, and returned merchandise.
- Assess breakage logs and process merchandise out of inventory.
- Process freezer and dairy damages.
- Administer community/donation programs and process salvage and donation merchandise orders.
- Conduct daily club safety walks and report findings.
- Support Inventory Control Count Team with count processing.
- Review daily return reports, process recalls, tire and battery returns, and ensure AFS and release dates are followed.
- Ensure books are stocked and complete book returns with RICS.
- Process 945/948/950’s with AP Specialist.
- Re-wrap sellable merchandise using appropriate seal and shrink-wrap packaging guidelines.
- Ensure department is organized and clean.
- Follow safety, filing organization, and lock-up standards.
- Complete and maintain annual safety re-certifications to operate a forklift.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Most of the time moving about on hard surfaces.
- Requires bending, climbing, crawling, pulling, reaching, stooping, and ladder stepping.
- Lifting up to 30 pounds; may lift heavier with assistance.
- Use of pallet jack to pull and push pallets.
- Exposure to indoor/outdoor temperatures; occasional extreme temperatures in freezers and coolers.
- Frequent exposure to hazardous materials.
- Must be available from 4AM – 9AM Sunday through Thursday.
