SUMMARY
The OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Account Manager is responsible for working with established customers and distributors as well as identifying new opportunities to expand the company’s market share within the Industrial compressed air marketplace. The successful OEM Account Manager works closely with channel partners, end users, and the National Sales Manager to develop sales and marketing strategies based on customer needs, competition, and market potential.
Successful individuals will have an entrepreneurial mindset, with key account management experience. This person will also have thorough knowledge of compressed air and vacuum applications. A consultative sales approach combined with strong sales "hunter" characteristics are common among our top performers.
- Understand the company’s business position with current sales partners, major end users, and competitors.
- Manage customer relationships at a corporate level and work well with engineering, operations, marketing, quality, customer service, and other sales resources to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Possess intricate knowledge of compressed air/vacuum applications, details, and market pressures.
- Create a territory business plan designed to increase the promotion of company products; this will include understanding the sales and marketing efforts of company products.
- Identify new potential partners in the territory and understand what value our products bring to their current solution.
- Develop territory knowledge and apply strategies to grow sales network and increase overall footprint.
- Manage an established list of accounts, helping to grow current sales and establish channels for new growth.
- Identify new markets and potential new customers/applications.
- Call on and visit compressed air distributors, OEMs, and end-users depending on sales channel to market.
- Attend trade shows and promote Powerex products as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE- BS/BA undergraduate degree required.
- 5+ years of capital equipment sales experience.
- Experience selling compressed air or vacuum systems to industrial users, laboratories, and/or food & beverage users preferred.
- Experience supporting and managing distributors and OEMs preferred.
- Experience working with engineers and scoping product lines preferred.
- Experience managing corporate accounts preferred.
- Territory management experience preferred.
- Excellent time management skills are a necessity.
- Detail oriented – complemented by excellent follow up skills.
- Genuine commitment to delivering a high level of service to sales partners and providing an above average customer experience.
Territory:
Eastern US and Canada. Candidates should live near a major airport in the Eastern U.S. with willingness to travel up 50% of the time.
