Role OverviewScientist 1 - Environmental Laboratory Analyst. This full-time position involves analyzing air, water, and soil samples to provide accurate data for community health and safety.
Compensation$19.00 per hour. The exact amount depends on geographic location, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
What You’ll Do- Perform, support, and oversee the analysis of air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods.
- Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another STEM field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
- Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, working around strong odors, and wearing required PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Capacity to follow SOPs and maintain accurate records.
