As a Residential Climate Systems Service Mechanic, you’ll be the trusted face in customers’ homes—diagnosing issues, performing repairs, commissioning new systems, and keeping meticulous records so every visit meets our standard of excellence.

Your impact, every visit

Deliver expert maintenance and repairs on residential HVAC equipment.

Assess ductwork integrity; keep company tools and materials in safe, working order.

Identify, wire, and bring online complete residential systems.

Troubleshoot, recommend, and execute repairs that restore optimal performance.

Conduct start-ups; test and record operational results to confirm proper function.

Perform thorough inspections; flag and communicate any remaining concerns to dispatch/customers.

Translate technical work into clear explanations for customers and dispatch.

Align your daily route and priorities directly with the office team.

Plan parts needs ahead of appointments to ensure you arrive ready.

Transport and account for parts, materials, and tools assigned to you.

Submit complete, accurate digital or paper documentation on time.

Debrief each call with dispatch and the customer, documenting outcomes.

Restore jobsite cleanliness before leaving.

Uphold vehicle cleanliness and organization at all times.

Model our performance standards and code of ethics.

Interact courteously with customers and colleagues.

Use protective shoe covers in every home.

Follow all safety protocols.

Support additional tasks as needed.

Credentials and experience

High school diploma or GED.Minimum 1 year of HVAC service experience.

EPA certified.

Capable soldering and brazing skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Fluent, effective communication in English—spoken and written.

Basic computer proficiency; able to operate a computer, laptop, or tablet.

Comfort using the internet and email tools such as Microsoft Outlook.

Valid driver’s license.

Available for overtime with short notice; occasional weekend work.

Preferred backgroundHVAC trade school certification.
1–2 years in construction, HVAC, or a closely related trade.

Environment you’ll work in Primarily occupied residences and/or construction sites; minimal office setting.

Travel by vehicle between job locations.

Exposure to typical construction conditions: active equipment, elevated areas, confined spaces, noise, dust, hazardous materials, and odors.

Indoor/outdoor work in all weather, with appropriate PPE.Physical capability

Operate a passenger vehicle or forklift.

Frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

Regularly climb; bend at the waist; crawl; kneel; and crouch.

Comfortable at heights; climb ladders and stairs; occasional work on platforms/scaffolding using required fall protection.

Wear PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, masks/respirators, reflective vests, gloves, and safety‑toe construction boots.

Stand, walk, or sit for extended durations.

Hear and distinguish speech/other sounds to safely operate phones and equipment.

Maintain near/far focus, peripheral vision, and normal depth perception with or without correction.

Speak clearly to convey information to others.

Enter data on handheld devices/computers via a traditional keyboard or 10‑key keypad.

Reach overhead; signal; grasp; hold; lift; turn; push; and pull tools and materials using arms and hands.
