Warehouse Associate, Distribution/ General Warehouse, Stocking, Material Handler
GEODIS is a global third‑party logistics provider that supports the supply chains of leading brands and manufacturers. The role is part of our warehouse operations team.
What You Will Be Doing- Receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials.
- Reading production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Conveying materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
- Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Assembling customer orders from stock and placing them on pallets or shelves, or conveying orders to the packing station or shipping department.
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
- Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience.
- Ability to perform operations using units of American currency and weight, volume, and distance measurement.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple one‑ or two‑step instructions.
- Ability to complete duties with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Physical ability to use hands, sit, reach, stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch, talk, or hear.
- Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in non‑climate‑controlled environments.
