Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for a
Manufacturing Engineer - Cost Improvement, to join our Fireplaces Business Unit in Mt. Pleasant, IA. We are the nation's leading manufacturer and supplier of hearthproducts, including a wide variety of gas, electric, wood and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and accessories. Headquartered in Lakeville, Minnesota, with distribution around the world, our innovative approach is supported by a business unit structure that allows us to develop and market products with a strong focus on customers' needs.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact on our manufacturing operations by leading automation, process optimization, and cost improvement initiatives that directly influence business performance. You'll collaborate with talented engineering and operations teams, drive meaningful change, and help shape the future of our manufacturing capabilities.

• Lead high-impact initiatives that improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality across the facility.
• Partner with Production, Operations, and New Product Development teams to drive continuous improvement and manufacturability solutions.
• Evaluate engineering design changes in Creo and Solid Works, ensuring seamless implementation into production.
• Optimize product designs, manufacturing processes, and workflows to improve productivity, quality, and scalability.
• Design and implement mistake-proofing (poka-yoke) solutions that reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction.
• Identify, develop, and deploy automation solutions that increase throughput, improve ergonomics, and support future growth.
• Lead cross-functional projects from concept through implementation, delivering measurable operational results.
• Analyze production data and manufacturing trends to uncover opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 4+ years of manufacturing engineering, process improvement, or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with CAD platforms such as Creo, Solid Works, or AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Project, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Passion for solving complex manufacturing and process challenges.
• Strong project leadership skills with the ability to drive initiatives from idea to implementation.
• Effective communicator who can influence stakeholders and build partnerships across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Primarily in a Manufacturing facility with split focus between an office environment and the production floor with core work hours of Monday through Thursday, 6:00AM - 4:20PM.
