MPCF is looking to hire a full-time Budget Analyst
2. This person will be an integral part of the MPCF Business Office responsible for all budgeting, accounting and bookkeeping of a $30 million budget.
- Performs professional government budget analysis.
- Collect and analyze budgetary and fiscal data.
- Provide guidance on budget formulation, program operations and appropriations while advising and assisting with adherence to executive policies and legislative intent.
- Identify financial issues, variances and program operation impact and recommends corrective budgetary action to management.
- Provide guidance and expertise in compiling data for annual audit.
- Complete monthly financial reports for administration.
- Must be proficient in Excel
- Familiar with general accounting principles
- Experience in compiling data for audits

Minimum Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, and experience equal to two years of full-time work in professional level budget analysis or fiscal management.
- Two years of full-time work experience in professional level budget analysis or fiscal management; and a total of four years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university course work in accounting, finance, or business administration equals one year of full-time experience.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in business administration or public administration; one year of full-time work experience in professional level budget analysis or fiscal management; and a total of four years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university course work in accounting, finance, or business administration equals one year of full-time experience.
- Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes eighteen months of full-time work as a Budget Analyst 1.
