Flexographic Press Operator
This position is responsible for operating a flexographic press, encompassing all stages of the printing process from understanding work orders and preparing materials to ensuring quality output and timely job completion. The role requires a strong understanding of printing processes, color matching, and the ability to troubleshoot and make real-time adjustments to minimize waste.

12 Hour Shift - 5AM-5PM
Responsibilities andActivities:
- Operates and maintains equipment.
- Removes finished rolls off equipment and put them in boxes or stacks on pallets.
- Makes boxes, tape ends of rolls when the roll diameter is reached.
- Meets and exceeds production standards and maintaining customer quality requirements.
- Communicates job status and production concerns/issues during shift change.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.
- Adheres to all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Troubleshoots problems with minimum delay time.
- Communicates with Press Operator on any problems developing and corrective action.
- Works when equipment is down to maintain production requirements.
- Continues learning new and improved processes to achieve increased production.
- Facilitates teamwork among team members and between shifts.
- Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
Education
- High school diploma or GED.
Work Experience
- 2 years' experience running press equipment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of postal guidelines for sorted mail preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical operations.
- Knowledge of production processes.
- Prior experience with computers and software driven mechanical systems preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret job instructions.
- Ability to work with both computers and mechanical systems.
- Comfortable working in a team environment.
- Ability to monitor production equipment for speed and quality
- Proficiency with software driven mechanical systems
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including moving up to 10 pounds regularly and lifting no more than 50 pounds intermittently.
