Position Summary:The change analyst supports the success of university initiatives by assessing, analyzing, and helping manage the impact of organizational change. This role partners with stakeholders across academic and administrative units to conduct impact assessments, design tailored communication and engagement strategies, track readiness, and provide data-driven insights that minimize disruption and enable adoption. By working closely with change managers, business analysts, and project managers, the change analyst ensures that cultural, technological, and process changes are clearly understood, effectively communicated, and successfully implemented.
The level of the position (I, II, III, or Senior) reflects the scope of work, years of experience required, and level of autonomy in performing tasks.
Change Analyst I:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of work experience in change management, organizational change management (OCM), or a relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and familiarity with project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement and relationship building.
- Certification in Change Management (e.g. Prosci or CCMP).
- Knowledge of change management methodologies (e.g. ADKAR, Lewin's Change Model, etc.).
- Demonstrated understanding of analytical techniques.
- Demonstrated understanding of modeling notations and flowcharting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated ability to identify specific business opportunities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Strong active listening, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Ability to be resourceful and devise creative solutions to problems.
- Ability to negotiate effectively and assist with facilitating meetings.
- Ability to meet expectations as a dependable member of a team.
- Ability to elevate issues appropriately.
