Position Summary
The Creative Content Coordinator for Central Michigan University Football is responsible for developing and executing a dynamic multimedia content strategy to enhance the brand, visibility, and engagement of the football program. This position plays a key role in shaping the team’s digital presence through graphic design, video production, social media content, and storytelling initiatives aimed at recruiting, fan engagement, and program promotion.
The coordinator will report to the General Manager and work closely with coaching staff, recruiting personnel, sports information, marketing, and external relations staff to create high-quality content that aligns with the team’s culture, recruits, and fan base. Additionally, this role will support the football program’s recruiting efforts by producing innovative digital materials that appeal to prospective student‑athletes.

Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, marketing, journalism, digital media, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience that equates to four years.
- One year of experience in content creation, social media management, video production, or graphic design, preferably in a sports‑related environment.
- Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, Facebook, You Tube) and scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer).
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, game‑day environment.
- Strong video production and editing skills, including motion graphics and animation.
- Strong creative skills and the ability to execute content strategies in a live sports environment, including real‑time content creation and live updates.
- Understanding of football culture.
- Knowledge of photography and videography techniques, including lighting, composition, and editing.
- Ability to travel to away games and be present at all home games.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Master’s Degree.
- Three years of experience in content creation, social media management, video production, or graphic design, preferably in a sports‑related environment.
- Experience working in a Division I FBS program.
- Develop and execute high‑quality digital content (graphics, videos, photography, and motion graphics) to promote the football program across social media, websites, and recruiting platforms.
- Design compelling social media graphics, promotional materials, recruiting visuals, and digital assets that align with the football program’s brand identity and messaging.
- Capture, edit, and produce hype videos, player highlights, practice/game footage, and behind‑the‑scenes content to enhance fan engagement and recruiting efforts.
- Manage and schedule content for the football program’s official social media accounts (Twitter/X, Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube, Facebook) while monitoring trends and engagement analytics.
- Provide real‑time social media updates including live game coverage, score graphics, and sideline content, ensuring a dynamic and engaging fan experience.
- Collaborate with coaching staff and recruiting personnel to create tailored recruitment graphics, personalized messaging, and video content for prospective student‑athletes.
- Work closely with sports information, marketing, and creative teams to align content strategies with department goals and maintain consistent branding.
