About the Position

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced  Gastroenterology physician  for a locum tenens opportunity in  Mount Pleasant, MI . This hospital-based role includes clinic coverage, endoscopy services, and GI consults in a well-supported environment with full onsite resources.

The physician will provide endoscopy coverage and respond to consults during scheduled daytime hours. Weekend call coverage is required, with  no weekday night call .

⏰  Schedule & Practice Details

• Monday–Friday:  7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• 24-hour weekend call

• No weekday night call

• Hospital-based clinic setting

• Approx.  18 outpatient visits/day

• Approx.  20 inpatient scopes/day

• ERCP required

• EMR:  Cerner

• Onsite lab and X-ray services

Requirements
✅  Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology

• Completed GI Fellowship with  2–3+ years of experience

• ERCP experience required

• Active  Michigan medical license & CSR

• ACLS certification

• DEA  (verbal confirmation at name clear)

• Clean background (minimum malpractice acceptable)

• Local candidates / driving distance

• COVID vaccination required
