Ojibwe Lecturer, Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, MI
The Department of History, World Languages, and Cultures at Central Michigan University invites applications for a fixed-term Lecturer in Ojibwe. Teaching responsibilities include all levels of Ojibwe language courses. This position is a part-time appointment with an anticipated teaching load of two courses per semester. Additional teaching opportunities may become available based on departmental needs, with compensation and benefits adjusted as appropriate.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Cultural and Global Studies, or a closely related field.
- Diploma in Anishinaabemowin, or equivalent education or training.
- Native or near‑native fluency in both Ojibwe and English.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Certification in Native American and Indigenous studies.
