Middle/High School Social Studies Teacher
Beal City Public School is seeking a passionate, student-centered Social Studies Teacher committed to meeting the academic and developmental needs of secondary-level learners (typically spanning grades 6–12). The ideal candidate tailors their teaching to support all learners. Regular, in-person attendance is required.
Required Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certification.
- Must hold a RX or CX endorsement.
- Must meet Highly Qualified Teacher requirements.
Desired
Qualifications:
- Ability to teach stand-alone technology, coding, or computer applications courses.
- Ability to build positive relationships with middle and high school learners.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Additional teaching endorsements desired but not required
- Experienced in incorporating the use of technology into lesson planning and delivery.
- Knowledge of Michigan's Social Studies Content Expectations
- Must demonstrate the ability to connect with students and engage them in learning
- Must demonstrate ability to assess, plan, and implement instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration
Compensation:
Per Master Agreement between the Beal City Public Schools Board of Education and the Beal City Education Association. The salary schedule placement is based upon the total number of years of teaching and reported to the Michigan Office of Retirement Services (ORS). Schedule B (e.g., coaching) opportunities are available on our website.
