Charter Township of Union Assistant Water Operator
The Charter Township of Union is seeking an energetic, team-oriented individual to join its Public Services Department as a full-time Assistant Water Operator. This position is under the supervision of the Chief Water Operator.
Responsibilities- Assist in all aspects of water plant and system maintenance associated with water system filtration processes, cross‑connection inspections, water sampling, chemical evaluation, and responses to all water system emergencies.
- Function as a construction inspector for water and sewer projects.
- Maintain and program SCADA systems/monitoring devices.
- Assist in maintaining chemical and supply inventories related to water treatment and filtration systems and regularly perform field work.
- Assume responsibility for the water plant in the absence of the Chief Water Operator.
