This is a full-time, on‑site Mortgage Loan Officer role based in Mount Pleasant, MI. The Mortgage Loan Officer will consult with prospective and existing borrowers, review financial information, and recommend appropriate mortgage products aligned with Supreme Lending’s customer‑first principles. Daily responsibilities include originating and managing loan applications, guiding customers through the prequalification and approval process, and coordinating with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure timely and accurate loan funding.
The role also involves maintaining detailed records, staying current on mortgage guidelines and compliance requirements, and building relationships with real estate agents and community partners to generate new business. The Mortgage Loan Officer is expected to provide proactive communication, resolve borrower questions, and uphold Supreme Lending’s standards of service and professionalism.
- Strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, including conventional, FHA, VA, and other loan products.
- Experience working as Loan Officers with a proven track record of originating and closing residential mortgage loans.
- Familiarity with Underwriting guidelines and the ability to evaluate borrower creditworthiness and documentation.
- Commitment to excellent Customer Service, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Relevant experience in mortgage banking or financial services; NMLS licensure and applicable state licenses required or eligible to be obtained.
- Proficiency with loan origination systems, basic financial analysis, and standard office software.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- High level of integrity, ethical judgment, and commitment to regulatory compliance and company policies.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
