About you and this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Insider Threat Counterintelligence (CI) Analyst located in Midland, MI. The Insider Threat CI role will be a critical role within the insider threat program. The program is focused on proactive strategies and operations to prevent, deter, and respond to intentional (or unintentional) data extraction or manipulations, specifically regarding Dow's intellectual property, trade secrets, and also company assets, products, processes, or concepts as determined to be proprietary, or confidential data.

This program focuses on human behaviors and the identification of indicators and warnings enabling a proactive response to a potential insider event.

This role designs, develops, and supports solutions and processes to meet business needs and requirements, works in a business process, enabling, or implementation team, and applies general knowledge of Information Systems, which is typically developed through formal education.

Responsibilities / Duties
  • Monitors technical tools to identify anomalous behaviior
  • Has deep intellectual curiosity in the development of cases
  • Analyzes data using excellent judgement
  • Ability to triage and assess risk based on established guidelines
  • ability to investigate and develop analytic products to support findings
  • reviews anonymous communicated activities for similarities
  • Supports analystic lead with initial case intake reported by stakeholder departments
  • intake, evaluate and refer incoming threat assessment matters for assessment
  • works closely with entire insider program team
  • superior collaboration and communication with stakeholder departments
  • direct support to due diligence analysis of 3rd party risk
  • Gathers and analyzes business requirements for assigned functional and technical areas.
  • Works closely with business process teams, technical teams and other stakeholders to design and build objects which meet requirements.
  • Assists with issue resolution.

  • Cyber Defense
    - The practice of protecting computer systems, networks, and data from cyberattacks by implementing preventive, detective, and responsive measures to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Cybersecurity
    - The overall discipline focused on safeguarding digital assets, systems, and networks against unauthorized access, exploitation, and damage through policies, technologies, and best practices.
  • Incident Response - A structured approach to identifying, managing, and mitigating cybersecurity incidents, including detection, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.
  • Proactive Problem Solving
    - Anticipating potential cybersecurity risks and taking initiative to identify and implement solutions before issues elevate.
  • Detail-Oriented
    - Applying meticulous attention to logs, alerts, and threat indicators to ensure accurate detection and response to security incidents.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant OR a minimum or 3 years experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Willing and able to be available for on-call rotation as needed
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process
