Keep Our Post-Machining Floor Running

• Plan the Day:
  Build a simple daily plan: match the day’s work to who’s available and what each person is trained on, and assign people across stations and time slots.
• Coordinate the Floor:
  Be the go-to point person during the day, keeping priorities clear, answer questions, and help resolve issues as they come up.
• Check In:
  Walk the floor morning and afternoon to see that work is on pace and people have what they need.
• Track Progress:
  Compare the plan to what actually got done, station by station, so you can spot a slowdown early rather than at the end of the day.
• Keep Things Moving:
  Stay focused on the plan, tell a real problem from a small bump, and keep the day flowing without getting stuck on every little thing.
• Support the Team:
  Follow up with each station in a straightforward, respectful way (what was the goal, how’s it going, what do you need), and help people get stronger at their stations over time.
• Hold the Standard:
  When a station keeps coming up short, have the direct conversation: name the gap plainly, be clear the work needs to improve, and agree on what changes tomorrow. You keep it calm and respectful, and you don’t let it slide.
• Run a Short Daily Check-In:
  Lead a brief meeting where each station shares where things stand and what’s coming next.
• Grow the Bench:
  Expand cross‑training so no station depends on a single person.

• Organized:
  You can keep track of a lot of moving parts and keep a plan straight.
• A coordinator at heart:
  You like connecting people, work, and priorities, and keeping everyone pointed the same direction.
• Reliable:
  You follow through and close your own loops without being chased.
• Steady:
  You stay calm and level when the floor gets busy or a plan needs to change.
• A clear communicator:
  You can run a short meeting and give simple, direct direction people appreciate.
• Fair but firm:
  You can be liked and still tell someone the work isn’t good enough. When it’s needed, you’ll have the hard conversation and hold the line, calmly, respectfully, and without making it personal.
• A systems thinker:
  You can hold competing inputs (priorities, people, skills, shifting volume) and still make a clear call and keep moving.
• A team‑oriented leader:
  You’ve helped a team stay on track toward a goal. Manufacturing experience is a plus, not a requirement.
