Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, accomplish the Facilities Department objectives by planning, organizing and directing all functions. Manage and monitor all procedures and policies of employees in the Facilities Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct all Facilities personnel in achieving the goals for the department; oversee the facilities team to include efficient staffing, team member development and training, performance management, disciplinary action and policy enforcement.
- Manage Central Plant Operations, Facilities Maintenance, Heavy Equipment, Road, Walks and Grounds, Preventative Maintenance and life Safety Systems.
- Oversee all construction projects for SECR and SCIT.
- Manage all job scheduling and priority assignments to ensure the department is meeting the needs of the casino and resort.
- Conduct contract review and scheduling for multiple service contracts; manage outside contracts and contractors to ensure maximum results and to control costs.
- Develop annual budgets. Control and monitor utility costs and departmental experience.
- Manage all activities of the facilities department, which may include conducting interviews and selections of hire, maintain schedules, conduct evaluations and offer coaching/corrective action when necessary.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of all facilities and equipment to include a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
- Ensures a safe environment for resort and casino guests and employees.
- Assist all other departments with the development and implementation of emergency procedures and the implementation of a safety program.
- Create, maintain, update, and implement policies and procedures manual for the Facilities Department; ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Manage the daily of the facility department consistent with the goals and objectives of the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort.
- Present reports on the facilities department activities to the Chief Executive Officer on a monthly basis or as required.
- Review and approve payroll and timekeeping.
- Investigate associate and patron accidents related to buildings, grounds or equipment.
- Manage and approve the purchase of equipment, materials and supplies within budget.
- Train and develop the facilities management team to prepare them for greater responsibility and career development.
- Provide excellent guest service for all internal and external guests of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for guest concerns and continually focus on guest service as our top priority.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

Contacts/Purpose of Contacts:
- Contact with management to develop teamwork and open lines of communication for a smooth and efficient running department.
- Contact with the Chief Executive Officer.
- Contact with all department heads in order to communicate functions of the department that may affect other areas of business.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Ten (10) years progressive facilities management in a large complex.
- Five (5) years in a supervisory capacity level.
- Exceptional customer service, computer, and communication skills.
- 24/7 Operation, must be willing work all shifts.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
License, Certification, or Special Requirements:
- Must have a valid State of Michigan Driver`s License, with the proper designation required for the vehicle utilized to perform the job duties, and qualify for coverage by SCIT auto liability insurance carrier. A Tribal Driver`s License will also be required if a Motor Pool Vehicle is used in the course and scope of the required job duties.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic computer operations and software.
- Knowledge of applicable Tribal, federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, practices and equipment used in building cleaning, maintenance, and repair
- Knowledge of occupational hazards, safe working practices, and safety precautions in accordance with applicable state, county, or federal laws and regulations regarding workplace safety.
