Kitchen Technician Lead

The Kitchen Technician Lead is responsible for abiding by all regulatory requirements while overseeing daily production. Will be responsible for maintaining excellent quality of goods produced and enforcement of standards.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Work and communicate effectively with others.
• Understand CGMP’s, HACCPs, and FDA guidelines for food safety.
• Communicates and collaborates with kitchen manager.
• Trains kitchen staff on policies and procedures.
• Ensures all incoming ingredients are correct, and stored properly.
• Be able to lift and carry heavy items such as pots of candy, and 50lbs.bags of sugar.
• Be able to follow SOPs.
• Oversee daily tasks and ensure they are completed in the allowed/designated time from the task schedule.
• Infusions of batches.
• Record batch sizes and waste.
• Understands and updates state monitoring system (METRC) as needed.
• Participate and follow inventory practices and assist with audits/reconciliation for all inventory and materials.
• Keep cleaning records for daily and weekly schedules.
• Keep good records and follow documentation practices including understanding and maintaining timecard and scheduling software.
• Ensure Breaks and Lunches are scheduled and completed.
• Participate in the interview process as needed.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Experience, Education, and

Certifications:

• 3+ years experience in food production preferred.
• Knowledge of CRA regulations and ability to follow them.
• Ability to obtain CFPM Certificate.
• Knowledge of allergens and cross contamination.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing schedules.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Requires some computer/office tasks such as typing.
• Must be able to work assigned shifts.
• This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to manipulate small objects.
• Standing and walking much of the day.
• Exposure to heat.
• Exposure to wet conditions.
• Exposure to allergens and chemical cleaners.
• Need for close visual inspections and adjusting focus often.
