- On-call requirements: weekends, holidays, and on-call when needed
- Collaborate with the physician to develop and implement a plan of care that supports returning the patient to optimal health
- Provide bedside nursing care, administer prescribed medications, and effectively monitor patient status
- Delegate and oversee tasks for Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Associate, OB Care Associate, Surgical Service Assistant, Nursing Clerk, and Psychiatric Tech as appropriate
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan and adjust interventions as needed
- Monitor obstetric patients for labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and potential complications; respond promptly to emergencies to ensure maternal and fetal safety
- Document assessments, care plans, and outcomes in the patient record, maintaining compliance with policies and procedures
- Active Michigan RN license
- Minimum 2 years OB experience (required)
- AWHONN certification within the last two years (required)
- Certifications:
AWHONN, NRP, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) (required) - Ability to work in an OB/GYN hospital setting
- Eligibility for travel assignment and participation in on-call schedule as needed
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week assignment
- Travel assignment with dedicated onboarding and support
- On-call coverage for weekends and holidays as required
