Under the supervision of the SECR Food & Beverage Supervisor, provide guests of the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort with a world‑class standard of excellence experience, while following all alcohol service standards, policies and procedures set by SECR. Prepare, deliver, and refill drink orders and respond to guest questions and requests. Handle all payment transactions accurately and timely.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
  • Take beverage orders from serving team members or directly from guests.
  • Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Identify product, mixes, and serve alcoholic beverages and/or non‑alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures.
  • Identify bar needs and communicate them to supervisor.
  • Set up, stock, clean, maintain, and break down work area.
  • Serve food and beverage products efficiently and professionally.
  • Remain professional and honest in dealing with guests and fellow team members.
  • Follow documented procedures for cash handling, transaction reconciliation, SECR Banking practices, inventory protection, Point of Sale (POS) operations, and sales transactions accurately.
  • Understand and enforce the alcohol policy.
  • Complete opening and closing side work thoroughly.
  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers, offering solutions for concerns and focusing on customer service as the top priority.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

Contacts/Purpose Of Contacts
  • Contact with guests in assigned area of responsibility to assure guest satisfaction. Maintain a professional level of communication with management and team members to ensure an optimum‑working environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bartending experience.
License, Certification, Or

Special Requirements
  • Must be able to successfully complete and maintain TiPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) Certification as part of SECR’s commitment to responsible alcohol service.
  • Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Knowledge of the proper service of liquor, beer, and wine.
  • Knowledge of bar operations, maintenance, and guest service.
  • Knowledge of cash handling.
  • Skill with operating computer equipment and POS systems.
  • Skill in preparing and serving food and beverages.
  • Ability to provide excellent guest service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and all shifts.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with serving food and beverages.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, walking required.
  • Daily use of and proper service from trays is required.
  • Required to stand for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to use arms to reach and lift above shoulders.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must have normal auditory and good verbal communication.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull upwards of 50 pounds.
Work Environment
  • Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public. Constant visual stimulation from neon lights on slot machines, changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino and constant machine and crowd noise.
  • Frequent work in high demand business volumes, in the public eye, with stressful working conditions.
  • Situations where caution must be exercised sometimes occur when dealing with irate guests.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
