Position Summary
Sam's Club #4982 at 4850 Encore Blvd, Mount Pleasant, MI . Fresh food associates on the meat team cut meat and make decisions about quality, packaging, and display to serve members.
Responsibilities- Show enthusiasm in fast‑paced environments.
- Multitask and maintain member satisfaction as top priority.

- Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and member‑ready area.
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team, communicate with team members, and be flexible to business needs, working in other areas as required.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of floor and back‑room operations, safety standards, sanitation, inventory management, equipment operation, and sanitization. Prepare meat products (cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) according to standards; cut boneless meat and maintain quality.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and engage associates. Use handheld technology for business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, encouraging others to adopt new tools.
- Be an Owner: Ensure operational excellence, maintain work area per policies, uphold quality & date control, secure fragile merchandise, eliminate waste, assist members with purchases, and package, label, and store merchandise per company procedures.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club, value members’ experience, model high‑quality service, and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics; use the Open Door Policy and implement action plans.
- Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, and partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; adapt to change and learn from feedback.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour.
