Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion you may work with additional products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Starting hourly pay rate: $14.00–$16.00, based on skills and experience.
- Paid training: live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.
- Part‑time employees may receive voluntary benefits including medical, dental, vision, etc.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- Position is part‑time with a variable schedule.
- Average weekly hours: 5–15.
- Availability required the week before and after major holidays, including weekends.
- Availability required for season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory; use technology for communication, reporting, surveys, and merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store staff is essential. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark display at assigned stores.
- Holiday support: Provide additional hours during key holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may be required to work on the actual holiday, including weekends.
- Department resets: Participate in installations and tasks such as building Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Notice is typically given two weeks in advance; assignments may include evenings or weekends.
- Team collaboration: Support other merchandisers across the network as needed.
- Push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Move frequently in and out of back stockrooms.
- Stand, kneel, squat, walk, and occasionally climb stairs or step ladders.
- Minimum age 18.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Capability to operate a digital hand‑held device to read documents and interpret information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
- Paid training (live and virtual).
