Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. In this Contract to permanent role, you will play a vital part in managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records to support our manufacturing operations. This position offers flexible hours and provides a great opportunity to showcase your expertise in accounts receivable processes.

Responsibilities:

- Accurately record customer payments and prepare deposits in the accounting system.

- Monitor customer credits and enforce return procedures to ensure compliance.

- Apply received payments to outstanding invoices and reconcile discrepancies.

- Generate and distribute customer account statements on a regular basis.

- Manage customer account codes within the organizational system.

- Process refunds for suppliers and reimbursements for employees promptly.

- Reconcile revenue and accounts receivable balances to ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Investigate and analyze discounts and price differences to identify discrepancies.

- Provide backup support to the Accounts Payable Coordinator, including processing supplier invoices and checks, assigning account codes, and generating necessary reports.

- Perform additional duties as required based on skills and organizational needs. Requirements - High School Diploma required; advanced degree preferred.

- Minimum of three years of experience in accounts receivable operations, with verifiable experience.

- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

- Ability to multitask effectively and adapt to shifting priorities.

- Familiarity with cash applications, billing functions, and commercial collections.

- Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.

- Strong analytical skills to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues.

- Understanding of company policies and procedures related to financial operations.
