Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Tax Accountant located in Mount Pleasant, SC. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to join our dynamic public accounting team. This role is ideal for a tax professional with strong technical skills, client service experience, and a desire to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The Senior Tax Associate will be responsible for managing complex tax engagements, supervising junior staff, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Qualifications- 3–5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax
. - Tax Compliance and Tax Preparation skills
- Experience in Tax and Financial Statements
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- CPA license or working towards certification is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
- Conduct tax research and provide technical support on complex tax issues.
- Assist in tax planning and strategy development for clients across various industries.
- Review work papers and ensure accuracy and completeness of tax filings.
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior associates and interns.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information, resolve issues, and provide updates.
- Stay current on tax law changes and proactively identify opportunities for clients.
- Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated client service delivery.
