Position: Accountant/Fiscal Analyst - 61151782

Job Overview

Serve as an Accountant/Fiscal Analyst in the Division of Procurement Service (SFAA-DPS) Business Operation Area. Responsible for collecting and verifying all contract usage reports submitted to the Division of Procurement services for all relevant statewide term contract administrative fees. Perform accounts receivable duties on behalf of SFAA-DPS.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, assist with collection and recording of administrative fees to all statewide term contracts issued by the Division of Procurement Services to ensure timely and accurate reporting and collections. Reported contract usage and fees will be entered into database for future analysis and reporting. Audit vendor contract usage reporting template to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and work with procurement managers to enforce compliance.

Reviews outstanding account receivable balances and return checks. Research payment status for outstanding accounts assigned. Invoice entities for services rendered with SFAA-DPS. Pursues standard collection practices for all unpaid amounts in accordance with State and SFAA-DPS policy and procedures.

Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and process time sensitive materials in a fast‑paced environment.

Communicate with internal and external customers in a clear, concise, and respectful manner.

Create and run report using SRM, Business Warehouse and internal ERP Software, perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications

A high school diploma and experience in accounting, auditing, or bookkeeping. A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for the work experience.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and theories of accounting and auditing.
  • Knowledge of state financial transaction procedures.
  • Knowledge of federal and state law and regulations relevant to the area of auditing responsibility.
  • Ability to analyze and verify accounting, statistical, and financial data.
  • Ability to interpret and explain laws, procedures, and policies to other individuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
