Seeking an experienced Office Manager to join a small public accounting firm in Mount Pleasant, SC, where you’ll become the central hub of a busy, client-focused office. About the Role:
In this Office Manager position, you will oversee the daily operations of a small public accounting firm, ensuring the office runs efficiently and clients receive a professional, seamless experience. You will coordinate administrative functions, support basic accounting tasks for internal bookkeeping, and help streamline processes through effective use of office software. This role has a direct impact on productivity, client satisfaction, and the overall organization of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and general administrative support.
- Coordinate and send tax packages to clients, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, and vendors, providing a professional and welcoming first point of contact.
- Monitor, order, and maintain office supplies and equipment to ensure the office is well-stocked and organized.
- Utilize and expand the use of existing office software and technology to improve workflows and record-keeping.
- Support basic marketing activities, such as maintaining contact lists, posting to social media, assisting with email campaigns, and updating simple marketing materials.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in office administration within a professional services or similar environment.
- Strong proficiency with office software and technology (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools).
- Demonstrated ability to learn and optimize use of existing software systems and tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident, professional communication skills for interacting with clients, visitors, and vendors.
- Availability to work in-office Monday–Thursday, 8:30–4:30, & Friday 8:30-12:00 (with flexibility for extended hours during tax season).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Any relevant certifications in bookkeeping, office administration, or accounting software use are an advantage.
