Runner​/Courier

Richardson, Plowden & Robinson law firm is seeking a professional, part-time Courier/Runner in our Columbia, SC office. Shifts are 8:30AM-1:00PM, 1:00PM-5:30PM or 8:30AM-5:30PM, depending on scheduling requirements. Must have flexible schedules to adapt to business needs. Great position for college students and those looking for part-time hours.

Position performs functions related to courier, postal and office maintenance needs, including:

• Picking up mail from post office and distributing, preparing/handling, weighing and metering of outgoing packages and delivering to post office, preparing/receiving deliveries to the office and routing accordingly, performing bank deposit, courthouse or other miscellaneous runs
• Maintaining the copiers with paper and toner, preparing and maintaining inventory of office supplies, logs deliveries, verifies package invoices, organizing and maintaining supply rooms
• Setting up for office and client social events

Qualified applicants must have a dependable vehicle (mileage is reimbursable), current valid driver's license, clean driving record and proof of liability coverage, HS diploma or general education degree (GED), strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact with tact and courtesy with attorneys, staff and clients. Applicants must be able to move furniture, boxes, etc. in excess of 30 lbs.
