This position is headquartered at the Rock Hill Health Department (York County).

Under general. Perform Administrative Support duties for client service. Implements and adheres to agency/program policies and procedures for efficient service delivery. Provides quality customer service and maintains strict confidentiality.

  • Meets, interviews and directs public health clients in accordance with program and agency policies. Answers telephones and schedules appointments or direct callers to appointment line if necessary. Provides front office/reception duties. Provides support for Administrative Program staff, Nursing staff as directed.
  • Processes information, enters client information into applicable electronic applications, and completes medical record duties for clinic and audit purposes as needed. Provides support in medical records, ie:
    Medical Record release procedures in the Electronic Health Record (EHR )and intake of outside records.
  • Follow established guidelines around customer service and cultural competency.
  • Attends relevant program and agency training and meetings. Ensures necessary materials and resources are utilized. Prepares and submits reports as directed by supervision.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned, including required travel if requested, and responds as directed during emergencies which may occur outside normal work hours, and travel if requested.
State

Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the SCDPH Chief Human Resources Officer, or their delegate.

High School diploma or GED and (1) year of medical office/clinical clerical office experience.

If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver's license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant, being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.

IMMUNIZATION:

All new employees who are healthcare providers are required to provide documentation of immunity or be immunized against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Pertussis, Varicella, and Hepatitis B prior to beginning employment.
