Overview

AAA The Auto Club Group is seeking a skilled B Level Automotive Technician to join our team. This role performs intermediate-level automotive repairs and maintenance, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Exempt/Non Exempt: Hourly

Total Compensation Overview: Technicians will earn a competitive salary of $40,000 - $85,000+ annually with a potential weekly production bonus.

• Perform intermediate repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, and fluid services.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Document all repairs, parts, and labor accurately in the shop management system.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers about repair needs and progress.
• Stay updated on automotive technology and participate in ongoing training.

Required Qualifications

• Education:
  
  High School diploma, GED, or technical school graduate, certification; must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Experience:
  
  3 years minimum experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center.

Knowledge and

Skills:

• Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, with the ability to perform a range of repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to use tools and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scores.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver work on time.
• Ability to mentor and train lower-level Technicians.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certifications (or equivalent): A4-Suspension & Steering, A5-Brakes, plus 2 other ASE certifications
• State inspection certificate, where applicable
• AC 609 Certification

• May experience loud noises and odors intermittently in the shop environment.
• Standing, walking, and typical physical mobility, including lifting up to approximately 80 pounds.
• Must have own tools appropriate for the center.
• Ability to work in hot environments; some locations may not have air conditioning.
• Must be able to work on your feet for the entire shift.
