Construction Contract Manager

OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a Contract Manager for our Data Center Division in Chicago, IL. This role will require some travel to the job site in Mount Pleasant, WI.

RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Assist with underwriting risk with respect to projects we are pursuing, providing risk management solutions, and drafting and negotiating various contracts including partnership agreements, design agreements, and owner construction contracts.

+ Prepares contracts from prequalification and bidding through procurement; maintains contracts.

+ Ensures that contractual requirements are met including diversity outreach and procurement goals. Manages outreach database.

+ Prepares prequalification documents.

+ Resource for contractual review/negotiation, articulation of contractual provisions, relevant legal research, Sub/Supplier agreements for project teams or other matters as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

+ Bachelor's Degree required;
Juris Doctor Degree is a plus

+ Minimum 3 years of related experience

+ Ability to negotiate legal and commercial issues arising from contracts

+ Transactional experience or construction/surety law experience is preferred, but not necessary

+ Problem solving skills together with the confidence to take the initiative on projects

+ Strong communication skills and attention-to-detail are essential

+ Position is based in Chicago, IL however assignment may require some travel to jobsites in Mt Pleasant, WI

+ Salary: $91,000 - $138,000/Yr.
