In this role, you’ll champion Hitachi Energy’s contractual interests, protect value across every stage of the project life cycle, and strengthen our partnerships with customers, suppliers, and internal collaborators. You’ll play a pivotal role in risk mitigation, claims strategy, negotiation support, and ensuring contractual excellence across complex, high‑visibility projects.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Support project managers in enforcing Hitachi Energy’s contractual rights with customers and suppliers.
Monitor changes, deviations, and claims, providing strategic guidance across project phases.
Partner with Legal to develop negotiation strategies and support negotiations.
Assist Hitachi HUB NAM Contract Manager and Legal with dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration.
Report and communicate major claims and critical developments throughout execution.
Investigate, analyze, and manage complex or high‑value claims.
Serve as primary contact for escalated disputes and claims‑related matters.
Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to policies, standards, and claim‑management methodologies.
Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in business, law, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in contract management, claims, commercial operations, or similar functions.
Strong understanding of contract law, risk mitigation, and negotiation strategy.
Experience evaluating complex claims and managing formal dispute processes.
Ability to collaborate effectively with legal, operational, and project teams.
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
