We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Timber
Bridge Foreman to oversee and manage the daily operations of bridge construction and maintenance projects. The Bridge Foreman will lead a crew of workers, coordinate activities with project managers and engineers, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and maintain quality standards throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead bridge construction and repair crews.
  • Interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Plan daily work activities and allocate tasks to crew members.
  • Ensure that all work is completed on schedule and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
  • Oversee the use and maintenance of equipment and tools.
  • Inspect work sites to monitor progress and ensure safety compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
  • Train and mentor crew members on construction techniques and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment usage.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in construction management or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in timber bridge construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of bridge construction techniques, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • OSHA certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and travel to job sites as needed.
  • Outdoor construction sites, often near roadways, rivers, or elevated structures.
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing, lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
