Role DescriptionThe Drywall Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mount Pleasant, SC. This role oversees commercial drywall, metal framing, and related scopes from pre-construction through project closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with general contractors and field supervisors, managing project schedules, reviewing plans and specifications, and organizing manpower, materials, and equipment.
The Drywall Project Manager conducts site visits, tracks progress, addresses installation or quality issues, and ensures inspections and punch lists are completed. The role also involves preparing reports, managing change orders, maintaining documentation, and supporting effective communication among office staff, field crews, and clients.
- Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including scheduling, budget tracking, and coordination of commercial drywall and framing projects.
- Candidates should possess Expeditor and Expediting experience to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and submittals.
- Candidates should possess Inspection skills to verify quality, code compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
- Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to plan and oversee material handling, deliveries, and site staging.
- Experience in commercial construction, particularly drywall and metal framing, is highly beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with field teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Proficiency with project management software and standard office applications.
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a focus on safety and quality.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
