Responsibilities include implementing the "Wonder of Learning" curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, and emotional growth, creating a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment for children aged 3-5, observing and assessing children's developmental progress and communicating findings to parents, fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to build a strong community, utilizing age-appropriate teaching methods and materials to enhance learning experiences, maintaining a clean, organized classroom and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices, collaborating with fellow educators to create a cohesive and supportive teaching team.
Requirements include a high school diploma required; associate's/bachelor's preferred degree in early childhood education or related field, previous experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting, strong understanding of child development principles and early learning standards, current CPR and first aid certification or willingness to obtain, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for teaching, ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment, patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children, background check and clearances required for employment.
