The Young Adult Director is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing evangelism and discipleship opportunities such as life groups, events, and special programs for college students and young adults in order to build a community of young adults growing and maturing in their faith. Additionally, they are responsible for developing, planning, and implementing the summer college internship program. This position ensures the mission, vision and values of The Church at Life Park is pursued through Living Life to the Full by being Biblical, Relational, Missional, and Transformational.
This individual must demonstrate a call to Christian ministry with the ability to relationally connect with college students and young adults while shepherding their heart and growing their faith as they seek to live for Christ.
College and Young Adult Groups
- Empower young adults to share the gospel within their sphere of influence, encouraging them to invite others to young adult ministry events.
- Plan, promote, and execute multiple fellowship events for college students and young adults that foster biblical community.
- Identify and recruit leaders for new small groups of college students (ages 18-23) and young adults/professionals (ages 24-32).
- Coach, support and encourage leaders through meetings with leaders, visiting groups, and providing access to training events and resources.
- Empower Life Group leaders by assisting them in implementing the 4 core pillars of Life Park:
Biblical, Relational, Missional, and Transformational. - Lead a Life Group for college students. Disciple college students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Promote, organize, and execute a 10-week summer intern ministry to assist college students in their personal growth in Christ and potential calling to vocational ministry. This includes coordinating interviews, scheduling weekly lunch & learns, planning activities and overseeing the intern calendar for the summer.
- Provide spiritual guidance and practical mentorship to summer interns regarding living a faith-based life after college.
- Participate in weekly strategic prayer for the Adult Discipleship ministry.
- Assist the Adult Discipleship team with connecting people to groups, assisting with online ministry platforms, and other administration as needed.
- Assist in the development & oversight of the annual young adult budget.
- Assist with connecting events within the Adult Discipleship ministry.
- Attend worship services, staff meetings and team meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Affirms and agrees to live in a manner consistent with the Church’s Statement of Faith.
- Demonstrates a passion for connecting with college students and young adults.
- Self-motivated leader with a strong work ethic; team-player attitude.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
The Young Adult Director reports to the Associate Pastor of Discipleship. Must be willing to work some evenings and holidays in addition to Sunday mornings.
