Physical Education Teacher
Plans, implements and conducts instructional activities in an efficient manner to ensure a high degree of on-task performance during planned recreational activities, prepares weekly schedules, and provides reports as required to the Director of Residential Life. Maintains attendance records of student participation and continuously supervises students during planned activities and instruction. Leads weekly instruction, presentations, character education, and educational field trips in the RLS program, to include assisting the Physical Education Instructor in the academic program.
Develops and maintains documentation on a variety of recreational activities.
Must posses a Bachelor's Degree and relevant program experience working with children in a physical education and/or recreational setting, preferably with the blind, deaf and/or sensory multi-disabled student population. This position may require communication modalities dependent upon employment placement.
