ENTRY LEVEL CIVIL DESIGNER – ENGINEER IN TRAINING – WATER/WASTEWATER
Thomas & Hutton is seeking an Entry Level Civil Designer – Engineer in Training to work with our Water/Wastewater group in Mount Pleasant (Charleston), SC.
The position is responsible for assisting in the preparation of construction plans, specifications, reports, studies, supporting documentation, cost estimates and permit applications using company and industry accepted standards, methodologies, and guidelines. Knowledge of Civil 3D and familiarity with water/wastewater design preferred.
Minimum Requirements- Experience:
At a minimum, previous internship in the field of water/wastewater design or civil site design. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. EIT preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in water/wastewater projects.
- Familiar with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software applications.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Hard work schedule: 7:30 AM–5:30 PM Mon–Thu and 7:30 AM–11:30 AM Fri. This position is fully on-site; not remote or hybrid.
- Proven ability to multi‑task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks.
- Highly client‑service oriented, self‑starter, and team player.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Excellent time management skills.
