Job Description
This position is for a Senior Environmental Engineer based in South Carolina to assist in the delivery of water treatment facilities of moderate to high complexity throughout the Southeast United States.
In This Role You Will Have The Following Responsibilities- With high-level goals provided, lead teams to design and deliver water treatment facilities and related water infrastructure, including process modeling, signing, and sealing construction drawings as the engineer‑of‑record.
- Apply alternative delivery experience such as progressive design‑build (preferred).
- Review draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and sign off on completed designs.
- Ensure firm policies and practices are followed on all designs; perform site reviews and studies as needed to align designs with location specifications; update design requirements as necessary; perform water quality analyses and modeling.
- Contribute to the firm’s Technical Knowledge Management by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special‑case designs and studies; submit technical papers and designs for publication in technical journals.
- Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client RFPs; review draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local, and federal regulations and best practices.
- Proactively meet with current and prospective clients to review their design needs; attend conferences, symposia, etc. to improve visibility of the firm’s products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff; act as a point of contact for external client and industry contacts.
- Collaborate with clients and government officials to clarify technical questions, provide updates to project management as necessary, and perform other duties as required.
- Provide technical guidance and training to more junior staff; mentor and develop junior staff for future growth within the discipline and firm.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional engineering (PE) license.
- Ten years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required; the frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties and the essential functions of the position.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Professional Engineer.
An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.

Skills And Abilities- Expert knowledge of computer‑assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
- Expert knowledge of engineering principles of design.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
