Job Summary
As a member of the CAD/CAM team, you will be an active contributor to the factory volume ramp and standardization efforts. The role involves designing, troubleshooting, and debugging robotic systems to ensure efficient and safe operation, validating motion programs for shop floor applications, and providing daily operator support.
Responsibilities- Create, troubleshoot, and debug robotic systems to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Validate robotic motion programs for shop floor applications.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering teams to identify tooling, process parameters or new equipment designs.
- Provide daily operator support in the form of robotic programming and troubleshooting support.
- Develop new robotic automation process technology.
- Generate and support workstation instructions as needed.
- Initiate, lead, and participate in process improvement projects to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Provide effective communication regarding program execution and performance across multiple internal cross-functional teams.
- Work effectively as an individual and in a team-based environment in a matrixed organization.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while embracing and driving positive change inside and outside the organization when appropriate.
- Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or Machinist Apprentice (or similar) graduate with 3 years of experience with robotic programming OR High School Degree with 6 years of experience with robotic programming.
- 3+ years robotic programming experience with Roboguide, Robot Studio, KUKA.sim, or other similar robotic simulation and programming software.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science.
- Experience with high-current, single-pass welding parameters.
- Familiarity with weld tracking systems and vision systems used for real-time monitoring of the keyhole.
- Familiarity with robotic automated blend or thermal spray systems.
- Proficiency with Python, C++, Java, RAPID, or KAREL.
- Familiarity with thermal spray coatings including Air Plasma Spray (APS) and High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF).
- Familiarity with FANUC robotic and automation systems.
- Proficiency with robot I/O management and troubleshooting robotic systems logic.
- Experience programming PLCs & HMIs.
- Demonstrated proficiency interpreting drawing requirements.
- Ability to multi-task and productively manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience with Siemens NX CAD software.
- Experience with U.S. export-controlled information; final offers contingent on obtaining authorization from U.S. Government.

The pay range for this position is between $91,700.00 and $. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
