The ideal candidate will focus on architecting secure, auto‑scaling Azure environments and migrating legacy systems to hybrid cloud models.
This position requires a Secret level security clearance, so US Citizenship is a requirement. While this role is primarily remote, there will be periodic onsite presence required, so candidates should reside in a commutable distance to our Mount Pleasant, SC office location.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deploy high‑availability infrastructure using Azure native services to support distributed, auto‑scaling PSS applications.
- Architect and design cloud infrastructure enclaves to support hybrid cloud models utilizing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for Azure using Terraform and Ansible to automate compute, storage, and networking resources.
- Plan, develop, and execute migration strategies for transitioning on‑premise systems and services to Azure Gov Cloud environments in alignment with SAFe portfolio management.
- Ensure all Azure configurations comply with DoD and Navy security standards, including STIGs, RMF, and CNSSI 1253.
- Support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab, Argo CD) to automate application deployments and security testing within the Azure environment.
- Design and integrate SIEM tools within the Azure Gov Cloud environment to centralize log collection, detect anomalies, and provide real‑time security alerting.
- Develop comprehensive dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and security events, providing actionable insights into system performance and user behavior.
- Ability to travel for onsite support as needed up to 10% of the time.
- 7+ years of experience and a Bachelors degree in a related field.
- 5+ years in systems engineering with a focus on Azure cloud architecture and deployment.
- Deep understanding of Azure networking, identity management, and security tools.
- Extensive experience with Open Shift, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- IAT Level II required (e.g., Security+);
Azure Solutions Architect or Administrator certifications highly preferred.
