DRÄXLMAIER is seeking an experienced Head of Technical Planning to lead Technical Planning and Industrial Engineering activities across our U.S. operations. This role is responsible for driving manufacturing excellence through strategic planning, process optimization, equipment implementation, productivity improvements, and successful industrialization of new programs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop Technical Planning teams.
- Manage personnel planning, performance management, training, and employee development.
- Oversee planning, procurement, and launch of production equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Support new product launches and ensure efficient industrialization of new programs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, OEE, quality, scrap reduction, and cost optimization.
- Support manufacturing plants with line balancing, material flow, layout design, and process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with company, customer, IATF, and VDA standards.
- Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and production-related documentation.
- Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to implement best practices and improve operational performance.
- Monitor industry trends and support the development of new engineering and manufacturing standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or technical planning within an automotive environment.
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing engineering or technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with new product launches, capital equipment, and project management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
