Senior Financial Analyst

Overview

Soni's client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision-making across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical finance professional with strong financial modeling skills who enjoys partnering with business leaders to drive operational and financial performance.

• Analyze financial results, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable business insights
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for leadership
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, explaining key variances
• Conduct profitability, cost, and revenue analyses to identify opportunities for improvement
• Partner with department leaders to develop budgets and monitor spending
• Support month-end close activities and assist with financial statement review
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and business cases for strategic initiatives
• Assist with mergers & acquisitions, capital investments, and other special projects as needed
• Gather and analyze data from multiple sources to identify business opportunities and potential risks
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial reporting requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, budgeting, or a related finance role
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or Workday
• Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting principles
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

• MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certification preferred
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence and data visualization tools
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices
